DESIGN PROCESS

From the first point of contact to beginning construction

At the first point of contact we will discuss your project with you and collect some important information about what you are looking for. You may like to download our "10 tips to getting started” so that you are well-prepared for any questions we may have.

If we can, we will provide a rough estimate over the phone. We will then arrange for a team member to meet with you on site to discuss the layout of your deck or roof project. We will take photos of the site and measurements of your proposed project. We also bring photos of various other projects to discuss the look of yours.

We will then prepare your quote and send it within 1 – 2 weeks.

If you wish to proceed with our quote, we will begin by drawing up a contract for the work. If plans are necessary for your project, we will immediately arrange for our draftsman to meet on site. We will then send you a contract pack with a copy of your plans.

Once you are happy with your plans, a contract is signed and deposit paid we will then submit your plans for certification. Our quotes include standard certification fees, however, if your project requires any special relaxations, these are on-charged to you at cost.

When the plans are released from the Certifier we are authorised to get your project underway. Where certification is necessary, a final inspection will be arranged on payment of your final draw.

Please Note

If you have existing deck plans we can submit them for certification pay the standard certification application fees as part of our quote. If your deck or roof plans are currently with a certifier, we can use them to begin construction once a contract has been signed with us and your certifier has approved your plans. We can also quote off plan if you would like to forward us a copy of your proposed deck or roof plans.
